Women’s health is an evolving conversation—one that spans physical, emotional, and mental well-being. To illuminate this multidimensional space, Femme Palette hosted a powerful Women’s Health Event featuring top experts, breakout sessions, and meaningful discussions. Drawing together women from all walks of life, the evening showcased the importance of understanding our bodies and minds to truly thrive.

The event opened with welcoming remarks from the Femme Palette team, who reinforced the importance of a supportive, knowledge-sharing community. They introduced the night’s Explore Zone, where attendees could connect with sponsors, discover new health tools, and network. One participant praised the setup, saying, “It was well organized, booths were great, and the topics too. I really enjoyed the second part of the evening.”

Harnessing the power of your cycle

Kicking off the talks, Katarína Miroš Baniari (Bagniari) debunked one-size-fits-all myths surrounding the menstrual cycle. She emphasized that each woman’s hormonal rhythm is unique, and understanding these shifts can help us maximize our energy—both at work and at home. From planning key tasks when you’re feeling most alert to scheduling reflective periods during lower-energy phases, her session gave the audience actionable ways to align self-care with day-to-day responsibilities.

Women’s health uncovered

In a dynamic panel, Zuzana Hajsmanová (Loono), Anna Nicová (Verra), and Markéta Gajdošová (MG Nutrition®) explored common oversights in women’s health. They touched on everything from tailoring nutrition to monitoring hormone levels. The conversation also highlighted the importance of regular medical checkups and adopting a proactive mindset about reproductive health. “All talks were very well chosen and presented,” noted one attendee. “I appreciated hearing from such passionate experts who truly understand women’s challenges.”

Biohacking for women: leveraging workplace benefits

Many women juggle busy schedules, so Tereza Knířová (Pluxee) introduced “female biohacking”—using small, strategic interventions to optimize daily well-being. She encouraged participants to tap into overlooked company benefits such as wellness stipends, flexible schedules, and mental health resources. “Tereza’s talk helped me realize there are plenty of ways to improve my health—right under my nose,” said an enthusiastic guest. “It was refreshing to see how to utilize the perks my employer already offers.”

Sexual wellness as a catalyst for overall health

A highlight for many was the session by Julie Gaia Poupětová, a professional sex coach and educator who tackled a topic often overlooked in general wellness events: sexual well-being. She debunked myths about “what sex should look like” and emphasized its capacity to reduce stress, boost self-confidence, and improve connection in relationships. “This was a real eye-opener,” shared one attendee. “I loved how she explained the link between intimacy and mental clarity—something I’d never thought about before.”

Gut health and mental well-being

Taking a scientific turn, RNDr. Martina Borčinová, Ph.D. walked participants through the fascinating world of the gut microbiome. She revealed how gut bacteria influence mood, stress responses, and motivation levels. Her practical tips—such as focusing on probiotic foods and paying attention to how certain diets can shift gut balance—resonated strongly. “The talk about microbiome and gut health was amazing. In general, I liked the second part of the event more than the first,” noted one attendee who was eager to learn about targeted lifestyle tweaks for better mental health.

Fueling ambition without burnout

Concluding the night, psychologist and psychotherapist Eliška Remešová presented strategies for staying motivated and fulfilled while avoiding burnout. She discussed boundary-setting, mindful scheduling, and the importance of “active rest” to restore both energy and creativity. “We don’t have to push until we’re exhausted,” she explained, “because true success is sustainable, not just a temporary sprint.”

A community of women empowering women

Beyond the informative talks, networking breaks gave participants the chance to form new connections. From sharing personal health journeys to discussing future event ideas, the energy was hopeful and uplifting. One participant commented, “I could feel the women’s power there. It was really good, inspiring, and full of practical tips.”

Judging by the enthusiastic responses and glowing feedback, it’s clear attendees left feeling both informed and encouraged to take charge of their well-being. Femme Palette remains dedicated to hosting similar gatherings that delve into women’s most pressing health interests—from mental wellness to career acceleration—creating a space where holistic growth is celebrated at every turn.

Mentoring in tech isn’t just for juniors: Why mid-level women are seeking mentors too

When you hear the word “mentoring,” you might picture someone fresh out of university or just starting their first role in tech, eager for guidance. And while early-career mentoring is powerful, there’s a growing trend we see at Femme Palette: more and more mid-level women in tech are actively seeking out mentors — and reaping major benefits. Whether you're a software engineer eyeing your first leadership role, a product manager navigating a complex team dynamic, or a data analyst feeling stuck in the same projects — mentoring at this stage isn’t about learning the ropes. It’s about gaining clarity, confidence, and strategy for your next move.

Science and Health: Why are women missing information men have had available for ages? And what do we already know about the female body today?

Women have been, and unfortunately still are, often overlooked in health research. Even in the 1990s, women were rarely included in clinical studies. This lack of research has led to a higher rate of adverse drug reactions—twice as high compared to men. Women with metal hip implants had a 29% higher likelihood of implant failure due to anatomical differences. Diagnosing endometriosis takes an average of 7–10 years, despite up to 10% of reproductive-age women worldwide suffering from it. Only in 2022 did a Harvard study confirm that women's representation in research remains insufficient. For a long time, the male body was considered the medical norm. Today, we know this simply isn't the case.

Věda a zdraví: Proč ženám chybí informace, které mají muži dávno k dispozici? A co už dnes víme o ženském těle?
