8 hours of Data & AI workshops

We'll dive deep into AI and data skills with interactive workshops and hands-on training.

Introduction to AI Skills for Non-Technical Professionals

This workshop introduces AI fundamentals and how artificial intelligence can be applied in non-technical roles. It empowers participants to understand AI’s impact on business processes and decision-making.

Learning Objectives: The learning objectives for this session include gaining a basic understanding of AI and its applications, learning how AI can be leveraged in business without requiring technical expertise, and exploring the ethical considerations of AI use. Participants will also gain hands-on experience with AI tools tailored for non-technical roles.

Workshop Structure (2x2hours):
The workshop is structured into two main blocks. In the first block, participants will begin with introductions, ground rules, and a preview of the AI mapping template. This will be followed by a session on understanding how AI works in theory. Next, participants will explore AI in practice, with an overview of its capabilities, real-world examples, and common pitfalls. The block concludes with a group discussion where participants map their workflows, identify tasks, and assess the potential for AI integration.

The second block starts with a demonstration of foundational AI models and tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. This is followed by a session on selecting the right AI tools, focusing on task selection, AI approaches, and timeline setting. Participants will then have an introduction to AI ethics before wrapping up with a discussion and Q&A session.

Learning Objectives:Understand the basics of data analysis and key metrics, learn how to gather, organize, and interpret data, and use data insights to support business decisions and strategy through practical exercises on data visualization tools such as Google Sheets, Excel, or Power BI.

Workshop Structure (2x2hours):
Introduction to Data in Decision-Making begins with an overview of data-driven decision-making, including real-life examples of how data contributes to business success. In the second hour, participants will learn about the different sources of data, both internal and external, and explore various methods for collecting and analyzing data effectively.

The third hour of the workshop focuses on data visualization tools, introducing participants to basic tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI. This session includes a hands-on exercise where attendees will create their first data dashboard. In the fourth hour, the focus shifts to presenting data for stakeholders. Participants will learn how to present data effectively to build impactful business cases, culminating in a workshop where they present their data findings to the group.

"Great program! My mentor match was perfect.. absolutely helpful and essential in guiding me and giving me support, practical advice and encouragement. The workshops were also practical and interesting."
Daniela McFarren
EU Public Affairs Manager
at DIAGEO
"It was invaluable for me to be able to talk with my mentor Kate Funk about things regarding the team or the different situations I was facing throughout the six months. I was also inspired by the drive other women in the program had to learn and grow and to see that the things we are dealing with are often similar no matter our background and that we can learn a lot from each other. Since my mentor lives in Florida, we had our sessions online, but we really clicked from the very first one. I learned the importance of having to lead myself first before I can be of any use to anybody else. We went through our Gallup test results which helped me understand my strengths much more and I also got many great tips for hiring as it’s something I’m also responsible for in my team."
Lenka Drbalova
Content & Sustainability Manager at GLAMI
"Femme Palette was a very inspiring and interesting project for me. Thanks to the program, I had the opportunity to meet many interesting women, share and develop my experience in the field of leadership and inspire each other. I appreciate not only the interesting Workshops, but also the tailor-made mentoring, which gave me the opportunity to solve current problems, but also the long-term strategy and direction of the team. Simply perfect!"
