The Women in Tech Brno event, co-hosted by Femme Palette and Legito, brought together an inspiring mix of women from across the tech landscape for an evening focused on career growth, resilience, and building confidence in a male-dominated industry. From the start, there was an enthusiastic energy in the room as attendees gathered to gain insights from leaders who have navigated the complexities of the tech world.

Finding direction through vision and values

The evening kicked off with Michaela Malatin, Senior Program Manager at Red Hat, who led a thought-provoking session on the importance of vision boarding. Her keynote, “Fueling Your Journey,” encouraged attendees to connect with their core values and passions as foundational elements for growth. This interactive approach helped everyone reflect on their unique aspirations, setting a positive and purposeful tone for the rest of the event.

Strategies for advancing in tech as a woman

A powerful panel discussion followed, featuring Dominika Sliacka (Vertice), Cristina Dobre (STRV), and Barbora Paclova (Alma Career Czechia). The panelists shared personal stories and practical strategies for advancing in tech, touching on topics such as overcoming bias, finding one’s voice, and building resilience. Their insights resonated deeply, offering both motivation and tangible advice for attendees navigating their own career paths. This session highlighted the importance of amplifying women’s voices in tech and the benefits of fostering a supportive network.

Overcoming imposter syndrome

The final keynote by Executive Coach and NLP Trainer Michaela Kozinova tackled the pervasive challenge of imposter syndrome in tech. Michaela shared effective strategies for transforming self-doubt into self-assurance, empowering attendees to recognize their own worth and achievements. Her session offered concrete tools for shifting from insecurity to confidence—a crucial skill for anyone seeking to thrive in a competitive field like technology.

Building connections and lasting Impact

The event wrapped up with a lively networking session, where attendees mingled over refreshments, discussing the evening’s sessions and forging new connections. The feedback on the spot was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees expressing appreciation for both the practical insights and the welcoming, supportive environment. The energy in the room was contagious, as participants left with a renewed sense of purpose and belonging within the tech community.

The Women in Tech Brno event demonstrated the power of shared experiences and the importance of creating spaces where women can support and learn from one another. Femme Palette and Legito succeeded in delivering a night that was not only informative but also empowering—an inspiring reminder of what’s possible when women in tech come together.

Meaningful feedback: The key to higher engagement and better performance

According to research by Gallup, 80% of employees who received meaningful feedback in the past week are fully engaged at work. While regular performance reviews exist in most organisations, feedback is often underused or treated as a formal obligation rather than a strategic leadership tool. The connection is straightforward: higher engagement leads to higher productivity, and higher productivity supports stronger business performance. The real question for leaders is not whether feedback matters, but how to use it effectively to support both people and results.

The new workplace: How remote teams are redefining success

Five years ago, the idea of leading a fully remote team sounded risky, maybe even lazy. Today, it is one of the clearest signals that work has permanently changed. Slack notifications replaced office chatter, video calls replaced conference rooms, and productivity stopped being measured by who stayed late. Remote work did not just tweak how we work. It completely reset how success is defined.
