Mentoring can be a game-changer—especially when you're already successful but looking to grow in new ways. For Elena Frank, an Executive Deal Lead at AT&T Inc., Femme Palette’s mentoring program became the missing piece in her journey toward launching a purpose-driven financial education business. In this interview, Elena shares how mentoring helped her refine her goals, clarify her brand, and gain the confidence to move forward with her vision.

Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do.

My name is Elena Frank, and I work for AT&T Inc. as an Executive Deal Lead. Beyond that, I'm passionate about financial literacy and the psychology of money. For almost five years now, I’ve been helping people not only with their budgets and overall financial stability but also with improving their relationship with money.

When did you know you needed a mentor?

Last summer, I started thinking about how I could expand my reach beyond my immediate circle and connect with a larger audience. With my background in business and finance, I knew how to build a business plan and manage financials, but I wasn’t sure about marketing and customer acquisition.

Being a mentor myself, I understood the power of mentoring—and how much time it can save. So, I decided to "buy" experience instead of spending time I didn't have on trial and error. I love investing in knowledge and experience because when time is your most valuable resource, you can’t afford to waste it.

What were your goals when you started the program?

My main goal was to gain clarity on my product(s), my plan, my unique value, and my audience. I also wanted to understand marketing trends and digital marketing strategies.

What goals did you achieve?

I believe I achieved all of them—and more. I defined my why, my values, and spent a lot of time thinking about my personal brand. Lucie helped me find my authentic self.

How did the program impact your life or career?

Lucie supported me in reaching all my goals. The program didn’t just impact my business—it also deepened my understanding of myself and helped shape my personality.

Can you share a specific moment or breakthrough during your mentoring experience that was particularly memorable or transformative?

Every session felt like a breakthrough—whether it was about myself, my why, or a business concept. Each session was like adding another bead to a meaningful piece of jewelry.

What was one unexpected benefit of the mentoring program that you didn’t anticipate when you first started?

Discipline. :) I felt a strong sense of responsibility to always come prepared and show progress. I couldn’t just show up and say, “Sorry, I was too busy [to make my dreams come true].”

What are your future career goals, and how do you feel the mentoring program has prepared you to achieve them?

Right now, my focus is on client acquisition and launching my online program, Money Mastery, based on my MMSSM methodology. It covers all five key elements of financial stability:

  • Mindset

  • Maximizing Income

  • Spending Wisely

  • Saving Strategically

  • Multiplying Effectively

I also plan to organize live events in Prague—feel free to register for the upcoming one.

Mentoring for women in Amsterdam: Why guidance and community matter in a global city

Amsterdam is often celebrated for its canals, bikes, and coffee culture, but beneath that aesthetic is something equally compelling: a city full of ambition. With international companies, startups, research institutions, and creative industries, it attracts people who want to build meaningful careers. Yet for many women working here, locals and internationals alike, the reality can feel complex. We arrive expecting connection, clarity, and direction, only to discover the opposite: professional transitions, cultural differences, and uncertainty about how to grow or who to turn to. That’s where mentoring and community become more than “nice to have.” They become tools for navigating a global city in a grounded way.
