I often felt lonely in my former business and finding my own mentors provided me with the much needed connection and understanding I was craving as well as an outside perspective on my strategic plans. Enhancing my business acumen and providing me with a valuable sounding board gave me the confidence and space to grow into the values based leader that I wanted to be.

My own mentors ignited a desire in me to also give back and share my own knowledge and experience with others by offering a safe and non judgemental space for other women in business to learn and grow through collaboration and vulnerable conversation.

I love to work with women that are courageous and have a strong growth mindset. As a former psychotherapist of 15 years I love to dig deep and support my mentees to create deep, transformational change in ways that align them, not just with their business vision but also with who they are as women. I love blending values with strategy and honing down on the work that needs to be done.

Having founded my first business in 2014, bootstrapping and growing that business to 7 figures across the UK before going through liquidation in 2023 I have seen the whole life cycle of business. Building a strong brand, managing cash flow, innovating solutions, the challenges of hiring and firing people, cementing a strong culture, external challenges and everything in-between I like to be real about what it truly means to run a business. There are great highs and great lows and both need space to be explored, celebrated and voiced.

Now as I embark on my next business journey I am able to learn from the lessons learnt previously and bring my ambition and va va voom to new areas of business such as pitching for investment and blending my long established service based knowledge to the new world of product based business. I am diversifying my business portfolio and loving the variety this brings.


In other news...

I have a passion for generating innovative solutions for big societal issues within the health, social and education sectors. Whilst doing this, I build communities of women, mentoring and supporting fellow women in business to make similar leaps forward and address the challenges in our society that keep getting brushed under the rug.

As a former nurse, former psychotherapist and educator my career has led me to challenging societal norms, I tackled the UK's mental health crisis head-on in 2014. By bridging NHS mental health services with the private sector, I established a compact but highly effective business model. I founded a higher education institute to train counsellors and psychotherapists, who then joined my expanding network of counselling centres. From a single site, we grew to 9 centres nationwide.

With a track record of transformative leadership, I've achieved significant milestones in education, healthcare and business:

I am a multi awarding winning director of a multi award winning business including Institute of Directors, Prestige and Midlands Enterprise Awards.

I bootstrap founded and scaled a community interest company (CIC) into a network of limited companies to 7 figures, spanning 9 locations, with hundreds of learners and a dedicated team.

I'm a recognised industry expert in counselling psychotherapy and education, achieving seven-figure turnover without reliance on government or charitable funding.

I maintained Pearson BTEC accreditation and Centre of Excellence status for 9 years while delivering high-quality qualifications.

I've authored and delivered industry-approved professional qualifications, including a Level 5 qualification mapped to Ofqual standards.

Designed and implemented children's emotional wellbeing workshops, earning accolades and creating manuals for professionals.

Established a bursary scheme to support disadvantaged learners and secured contracts with public sector organisations such as the Police, Fire & Rescue Service, County Councils, schools & academies.

Innovated the "Mind MOT" for Lincolnshire Police, providing targeted support for officer wellbeing.

Approved for clinical trials for a self-help anxiety product I created and developed, endorsed by leading counselling psychologists.

Led Supporting Minds to become a premier counselling college in the UK, with rapid expansion and franchisee interest.

I am currently building my new business, My Affordable Health. Making private healthcare affordable to the general public. I am currently pitching for investment and navigating this new arena of business.

Most importantly I am someone who wants to make a difference in our society by rolling my sleeves up and trailblazing innovative solutions to the big issues we face. In addition to sharing the realities of being a woman in business, without shame or censorship.

I am real, down to earth and a cheerleader for those I come across in business and in life!
