How Women's Leadership Academy works

In this 6 months program, you’ll work intensively on your leadership skills alongside other professionals from various sectors. This program is very personalized and aims to address each participant’s challenges in leadership development with hands-on, practical and interactive activities.

12 hours of mentorship from a leader
You’ll get up to 12 hours with a mentor who has 5+ years of managerial experience. Your mentor will provide you with guidance on how to be a better manager and leader and will help you navigate your challenges.
Kick-off and closing ceremony
We will kick off the program with a panel discussion with experienced mentors who will covering the topics of self-promotion, confidence, and building a personal brand. During the closing ceremony we will invite experienced women leaders for Q&A discussion. The events are held in Prague.
3 workshops on leadership topics
In the interactive workshops, we will cover the topics of persuasion and influencing skills, conflict management and negotiation. The workshops are held either in Prague or online.
Peer-to-peer group circles
You'll discuss pre-defined topics in a group of 3-5 women and create your own support community of like-minded leaders.

FAQs

What are the requirements to be admitted to the program?

Due to a limited capacity, we select only 15 people to participate in this program. We’ll be selecting applicants based on their leadership level, challenges and determination to join and contribute to the program.

What’s the application process?

First, you have to fill an application form. It takes only 2-3 minutes. When we receive your application, we’ll schedule a call with you to discuss your leadership challenges. If we think you are a fit for the program, we’ll send you a payment link to join the program.

I am just starting as a manager. Is this program for me?

Yes it is! This program is for all the junior and senior women who are managing people.

When is the start date?

This year we run 1 cohort from April to October.

How are mentors and mentees matched?

When we match mentees with mentors, we are aware of the goals that you have filled into the application. We, then, discuss your application with your potential mentor to see if they think you are a good fit for them and if they can help you with your goals.

We take into account your request for a mentor when you fill in the application. Although you can’t select a specific mentor, we make sure that we match you with the best possible mentor for your goals.

After you meet your mentor for the first time, you can let us know if you think that the mentor is not a good fit for you and request a rematch. The mentor can do the same.

Can my employer cover the program fee?

Yes! In most of the cases, the employers cover the program fee. We recommend that you talk to your manager and pitch the program (here are some tips on how to do that). If you have a professional development budget in your company, you should be able to use it for this program.

How are mentors compensated?

We have a mentor tiering system in place that rewards the mentors who keep mentoring with us. The mentors can earn different benefits if they keep mentoring with us, starting with mentor spotlights on our social media to getting paid a small fee or donation option to preselected charities. The experience is also rewarding for the mentors in a different way as we provide them with opportunities to gain mentoring skills, as well as give them access to networking opportunities in the online mentor community.

Where do I have to be located to be able to attend this program?

Most of the sessions are held in Prague. In case you are not located in Prague, you can attend the majority of the program remotely.

I don't identify as a woman. Can I still apply to the program?

You can! Although this program is promoted as a mentoring program for women, we believe that men also need support and can learn from our mentors.

Is English a requirement?

Yes. The group sessions and opening and closing ceremonies are held in English. However, with your mentor you can speak another language if you both agree on it.
