Klára Sommerová

Klára Sommerová holds master degrees in both Law and Journalism and currently works as Lead Privacy Counsel for UK and Italian markets at Reckitt Benckiser (100 FTSE company) specialising on data, AI and innovations. With more than 12 years of an interdisciplinary career focused on law, media and technology, she has gained experience from private, public and nonprofit sector working in the fields of media law, entertainment law, intellectual property, data protection and IT law. Klára is active in events organised by the European Youth Press, the European Parliament, Council of Europe, European University Institute in Florence, DCN Global as well as Asia Europe Foundation in Singapore and is an alumna of the Aspen Young Leaders Program and ASEF Young Leaders Summit (both as participant and mentor). In past she founded media law project (S)právně aimed at ethical and responsible media reporting about the legal world and created a platform where experts from all areas can meet and discuss needed changes. She regularly devotes her time to publishing, lecturing, and mentoring in the areas of her interdisciplinary specialisation and focuses on promoting the need for transformation of media and digital ethics and literacy on local and EU level through various nonprofit projects.
