How the Coaching + Mentoring program works

We’re offering the Coaching + Mentoring program to those people who are not sure about their career goals and need help deciding on the course of action. The role of the coach is to help the coachee find her/his vision, identify her/his values and motivators, improve self-confidence, and build the strength to pursue what the coachee wants.

Step 1: We’ll pair you with a coachee based on your preferences and your coaching focus.
Step 2: You’ll have 3 bi-weekly remote coaching sessions with your coachee to help her/him align on the career goals. The outcome of these meetings will be having clear career goals defined in the SMART framework.
Step 3: You’ll share with us a suggested mentor profile for your coachee. Based on your suggestions we will find a mentor and match your coachee with her mentor. With the new mentor match, your work with the coachee ends.
Step 4: You'll get access to the mentee and mentor community on Slack, and will have a chance to meet other mentors during online Q&A chats.

FAQs

What are the requirements to be selected as a coach?

We’re looking at your certifications, hours coached, and your motivation to be a part of the program. Our application process consists of 2 parts - filling in an application form found on this page, and an interviewing call that takes place after submitting your application.

Do I have to be located in the Czech Republic?

No, but currently, we’re looking for coaches that have a Czech Republic specific ICO entity.

What coaching certification is required?

We require ICF, EMCC, or any other accredited coaching certification.

What is the time commitment?

You will have 3 hour-long coaching sessions on bi-weekly basis. Your time commitment depends on how many coachees you request and the actual matches you receive.

What is the main goal of the program?

You will be a part of the Coaching + Mentoring program that consists of 3 hours of coaching and 12 hours of mentoring. This program is for someone who is not sure about their next career steps and goals, and need help defining that. After the coaching sessions, the coachee will be ready to work with a mentor on the set goals.

Is this opportunity paid?

Yes. The coaches are paid by session. You’ll learn more about how it works in the application process.

What is my role within the program?

During the 3 coaching sessions, you will ask your coachee questions about their unique situation and how they would like to change it to make sure they have a strong understanding of their mentoring goals and ultimately themselves. For example, you can help your coachee better understand what kind of a manager they want to be, why they’re unhappy in their current role, what are their main motivators, why they want to start their own business, what are their values, or why they might prefer a large company over a small startup, or the other way around, etc.After the coaching sessions, the coachee will be well-equipped to start meeting their mentor who will add field-specific expertise and personal insights to help them achieve their goals.

What is the outcome of the 3 sessions with the coachee?

After the 3rd coaching session, your coachee should have clear SMART goals written down in the mentoring working document. We’ll also ask you for mentor profile suggestions so that we can find the best mentor for the coachee.
